Whirlpool - Whirpool Refrigerator Cracked Liner under year warranty want to epoxy it? Really?

SPREAD THE WORD to as many folks as you can about Whirlpool products that there Junk and they don\'t back them up and the liners are a joke READ people through these article it will terrify you, folks houses almost burning etc. Please think before you buy any of these products!

I\'m so sorry Kellie for your problems with your refridgerator, its awful what there doing and getting away with, and I think everyone should get together and get a MAJOR law suit on them for the poor workmanship, quaity of product, every time I open my refridgerator I see that crack running across and under my light, and its noisy and loud, its a piece of JUNK!

An update to this cracked liner problem is that in December Whirlpool sends a survey out for the service on my Refridgerator (Really) I left negative on this form througout told them I would NEVER EVER buy another Whirlpool from them and will let everyone know which I\'m still doing as of January 03/2012 WHirlpool called my home a Represenative from Customer Service (LOL) and stated she received my card and was sorry I had had a problem with my refridgerator but it was policy to try and fix not replace and that she would keep it on file, and that epoxy should take care of it! REALLY should take care of the hairline crack on a over priced refridgerator I THINK NOT WHIRLPOOL WERE DONE FOREVER. I will never be back and I will let others know as well.

Purchased a Whirlpool Gold from ABC Warehouse in Flint, MI, for $2099.00 before tax, delivery on 10/22/2010, Headliner of inside of Refrigerator has a crack about 3-3 1/4 inches long, refrigerator is running more often, repair tech came today 10/14/2011, and did his job fine he called Whirlpool they stated to fix it with epoxy? Repair tech is ordering this. I called Whirlpool at 9:00 am right after the tech left at 1-800-253-1301 and spoke to Sherry explained everything to her in a very nice manner she stated according to the manual they give us it is for repair only? I said ok could I please speak to her Supervisor and she said yes but it will be the same answer, I spoke to her supervisor Lisa at 9:15 am, she came on talking about the problem and let me talk, I asked her on several occasions are you still there, and she said yes, her words were that Whirlpool only repairs nothing else for the year as per my paperwork (book) I said we don't even get this till after we purchase the item, I mentioned I had a Cabrio Washer and it was junk and had more service calls than any other machine I owed, I have a stove as well from Whirlpool it's been good so far, I told her with service like this and them knowing there liners are made of cost cutting saving materials as I have read enough complaints about this on the internet, that Whirlpool is eventually going under and so are the other small shops that do part work for them and their jobs will be outsourced to Japan, China, India and so on, I asked if there was another person higher up than her I could speak to and she said "no, there not available at this time" I snickered and said that's Management for you they have a customer service rep(call center complaints which is Sherry), then supervisor like you (Lisa) then some other management that don't want to talk to you... WAY TO GO WHIRLPOOL, I told her to document I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance and I will definitely tell others and so on , and if we get enough folks to ban them they will leave USA or close and then Sherry and Lisa will be unemployed just like the rest of us in the good ole USA, Poor appliances for folks that can barely afford to make it and if you're lucky and working like me and you buy something shouldn't a refrigerator last more than this, and you stand behind your products? I also told her I know some are abused but this was not an abused product from me, it is a Whirlpool CUT YOUR COST SAVINGS PRODUCT, and forget the customer... Please look at the old appliances, I also mentioned I have an old AMANA in my garage that is 17 years old runs great and never had a problem, and I gave her up for this piece of junk WHIRLPOOL, I then told her I will write letters, emails and everything I can think of to ban this Make and product the Model of this refrigerator is GI7FVCXWBO, freezer on the bottom, fridge on top, side by side doors, solid black with ice maker. When I purchased this I bought it to last a long time as I had to finance it, and take from our monthly income I had never had a nice fridge, but heck this is not nice its a JOKE and the sad part is I owe over 900.00 dollars still and just got laid off. Thanks to the good ole USA and Michigan, but I will pay it off no matter what cause I pay my bills, and stand behind my name as a good person and citizen unlike WHIRLPOOL. Boycott their products as they don't care about us or the American workforce. Oh and this damage was not caused by abuse to the fridge I want to state it was poor quality of materials in their products. Thank you for letting us complain about products! Also, it not like I can go out and buy another refrigerator as it took me over 18 years to get this one. Thanks WHIRPOOL for letting me down on another BAD PRODUCT but it will never happen again I've definitely learned and will teach others. It's just not fair these big manufacturers can get away doing this to the poor people, maybe it's like they say CORPORATE GREED? :(
Nothing happened, except epoxy will come and be injected into a $2099.00 before my 6% sales tax, delivery charge and set up fee Refrigerator and all the tears I have to endure for this lousy refrigerator just another blow to make me have a wonderful day and trying to find away to survive in the USA. My year warranty with Whirlpool will expire on 10/22/2011 and the crack will expand outside the liner and I will have to either bring in the ole refrigerator from the garage or go to Goodwill or Salvation Army for another one, not that I'm too good for that, and that's not what I'm saying by any means, I'm just saying this Whirlpool is causing me a higher energy bill and will not last as long and I will never, never be able to purchase another one like this again. (Not product wise, money wise). Shame on me for wanting to have something nice from now on I'm staying with my old ways buy used it's better and definitely more cost effective. This just makes me sooo sick!
