JB Hunt - Update on delivery mess

I would like to give an update. My condominium went out of their way to be helpful. They made an exception to their rules and allowed the delivery that same day at 6 p.m. The two deliverymen could not have been more competent or nicer. The new oven/range was installed perfectly. It wasn’t their fault that they were running late. I fault the company for scheduling us in the afternoon. Knowing how OCD condominiums can be they should have scheduled us for a morning delivery. Also we never did receive a 30 minutes out phone call from the drivers as promised, but they only called when they were actually here in our driveway. There is a lot of room for improvement at the administrative level.

My wife was preheating the oven to start baking and the inside glass just shattered. We bought an entire appliance kitchen set and I’ve had to have the ice maker fixed, replace bulb in microwave in less than a year and now 1 1/2 years in my stove glass explodes. This...

Dear anonymous: We’re sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with your Aqualift Cleaning Cycle. The Aqualift technology is an alternative for customers that don't want to be concerned with chemicals or smell.

It's designed to lift stains from the Oven and the customer can wipe them away. The steam created while using this cycle is meant to help release backed on foods, but some elbow grease may still be required.

For especially stubborn areas, you want to saturate the area with a Dawn Dish Soap and water solution and let it sit for up to 30 minutes. This should help get the grease adhered to the cooking surface off.

People don't understand aqua lift. It doesn't burn dirt off the oven by heating your oven to over 700 degrees for several hours, giving off fumes and possibly damaging nearby cabinets like the old style self cleaning ovens.

It heats water placed in the oven at a couple of hundred degrees for a much shorter period of time. Once this is done you need to wipe the walls and floor of the oven clean. If you have a heavily soiled oven that hasn't been cleaned regularly a little more elbow grease may be required.

Due to the fact that it doesn't cause so much heat and fumes (which can be dangerous to pets) people should be more willing to use it more often and clean the oven before it becomes a real mess and is hard to clean. I like it much better then the hot stinky kitchen you get from the old "self clean" ovens.

Aqua lift whirlpool oven does not clean itself

We built our brand new MI home which came with the Whirlpool stove in 2012 and in 2013 we moved in. The oven has never cleaned itself completely with the Aqua lift system. I always have to hand clean it. Don’t ever buy whirlpool a stove with this oven cleaning process. It does not work. Don’t let them put this stove in your MI home build either.

This self cleaning technology is almost useless. I have cleaned immediately after a spills and this technology does not work. I still have to get down and scrub. It has no cleaning affect on the sides of the oven at all. I am very diappointed with this feature of my new gas range.
