I purchased a full suite of Whirlpool Gold kitchen appliances in 2011. The refrigerator has not been operable since April.

Service has replaced the diffuser, thermistor and now is guessing the main board. They have spoken with Whirlpool technical service at least 5x with no accurate diagnosis. Service repair has made 5 house calls. I have had to take time from work.

The fridge freezes everything in the fresh food compartment. I have had to throw out contents twice. Calling Whirlpool customer service is futile. They acknowledged a complaint was filed.

Not much for standing behind their product.

I would expect a major appliance to last more than two years. If Whirlpool does not make this right, I will not consider purchasing Whirlpool again nor any appliances owned by the same company.
