I have had a whirlpool gold side-by-side fridge for 2 years.Last year, the ice box broke when I was removing it.

They had to send a technician out and replace the whole unit. Now the cup sensor is broken for the ice dispenser. Many complaints about the ice maker and parts on whirlpool fridges on this board. Not sure why we all have to pay for shoddy design and durability.

Called whirlpoop and they blew me off.

Their service provider couldn't give me a window for coming to the house, just said that they would call sometime on Tuesday when they were coming.

Monetary Loss: $500.
