We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer in 2012 and have had issues with three cracked lids that require replacement. The first two were replaced under warranty. The third happened after the warranty expired and the appliance repair store wanted over $500 to replace the lid. I have contacted Whirlpool and the Consumer Protection agency and registered complaints to no avail.
There exist two Youtube videos that describe this problem perfectly:
This is a known defect with the machine that Whirlpool refuses to do anything about.
Any suggestions on how a ripped off consumer can pursue an equitable resolution?
