Have a stacked washer and dryer. Washer would not level right. Followed everything whirlpool suggested. Finally called on warranty service. Told washer drum not round "from the factory". They are repairing the drum, but there is also cosmetic damage caused by it that they won't do anything about. It's nothing caused by me but by the factory itself. It should be replaced but the 1 year warranty only covers repairs. And the extended warranty can't be used.

My fridge is less than 2 years old. Delivered to me May 2, 2022. It is having issues with condensation between doors and water dripping out of the ice/water dispenser. The Authorized Repair Tech says the problems are non serviceable/no parts to fix it and I need a new fridge. The warranty was only for a year. And it's not even repairable. This is ridiculous! $1500.00 gone on a junk fridge

My washing machine died week before Thanksgiving. I went to three big box stores, Abt and Grand appliance to look for a new set.

What I found in all of these stores were the same brands and same models. The big box stores were too loud and too many people so that left Grand and Abt. I went out on black Friday hoping to find a good deal for a top load washer with a removable agitator.

There aren't many models with a removable agitator to chose from but I was able to find one a Abt. The crowds were overwhelming so I left for Grand Appliance.

First lesson, never shop for large items on black Friday if you can't deal with crowds. When I got to Grand there were only a few people in the store. i was free to move around. I had done my research on brands (not stores) and which ones typically had repair issues.

Whirlpool and one other brand were the only two with removable agitator. After some discussion and price match I decided to purchase from Grand. After all, i purchased my last washer/ dryer from Grand 20 years ago.

My salesman set up a date for the following Tuesday. The delivery man shows up, takes the washer off the truck, upons the box and the washer is dented on the sides and the top was not seated properly.

No problem because thats expect or so I thought.

Next delivery was for Saturday, same deliver guy, same process but this time similar issue. The top gapped on two sides and the lint door was not seated properly. I call the salesman and tell him I have no confidence i this product. He thinks its a fluke.

I want out. He says in all his years of selling, this has never happened. I should take delivery one more time because three times a charm. He would also contact whirlpool customer service to see what type of compensation they could offer.

Second mistake you should always go with your first mind.

I agree to a third delivery for Tuesday the following week. Different crew and same issue. The top of the washer is warped and the lint door doesn't seat properly. This time I drive to Grand.

The salesman is there and he can't understand it. All he offered was a rebate form for $50 off two items. No discount of washer (same or different model), no discount on warrenty, nothing. I have no confidence in the product.

Doesn't appear to have qualify control because three washeres from the same line all had the same defective. What makes me think this appliance will last 20 years like my last washer? Made anywhere in the USA or oversees at this time does NOT mean the same as made in the USA of old.

We could count on it to last but not anymore.

I decided to cancel my whirlpool dryer and ordered a GE dryer instead. Quality assurance and pride in your work might be a thing of the past in our manufacturing industry.

Leaking Washer

Whirlpool - Leaking Washer
Literally have has this washer less than 2 months and it leaked on the cleaning cycle. We moved into this house in December of 2023 and got the washer in January and on the cleaning cycle it leaked everywhere! Water damage to the brand new carpet, baseboards, and hardwood flooring! I clean the door every other wash and put ALL socks in a washer bag! Tomorrow I hope they can fix the issue and replace all the damage their washer has done because everything has been put in by professionals! No excuse!

The drainage hose was short and cheap. I had to order a longer and more durable one on Amazon.

I ordered a washer with a promo code for 5% off and free installation only to find out the installation is not included bc they said my order was not over $1000. No where does it say you need to spend $1000.

This is deceptive and false advertising. I had to cancel bc my delivery was only to drop off and take out of box and I need haul away. I reordered with hail away and then I received an email stating to remove haul away option and to call if I did not request this. I called and they wouldnt accommodate me at all.

They said they couldnt change the order.

Well if they couldnt change it why was it changed to begin with when I ordered haul away. The customer service rep was rude and very unprofessional.

I finally received my washing machine which is a nice machine but I had to do everything myself bc they wouldn’t let me pay for haul away. It was a mistake on their part and still wouldn’t help me out.

I was willing to pay for the haul away and they still didn’t change my order.

They said I would have to cancel and purchase again which would cause longer wait time for my washer. Also the drain hose was so short and flimsy that I had to purchase another one in Amazon.

Poor whirlpool washer reliability and possible impact on climate change

I have been a loyal Maytag product owner for many years. Recently, my $1000+ Maytag washer (made by Whirlpool) failed after 4 1/2 years, and it was not cost-effective to repair due to the extortionate cost of parts.

The washer was hailed away. It was partly recycled, but mostly become landfill.

Thousands of consumers are also reporting reliability issues and failure of their appliances from as little as 2 years after purchase. Across just 3 consumer advocate sites, there must be thousands of complaints along similar lines.

When I approached Whirlpool, they said they would not pay for the repair as that would mean them favoring me over other consumers and that they wanted to treat everyone fairly. This is clearly not the case, as occasionally I have seen consumers writing about Whirlpool making exceptions.

If you search for "product reliability washers years" you will see the average life expectancy of a washer is 10 years. The agent told me that the ten years is correct, but after repairs have been made in that time period.

Don't bother going to The Better Business Bureau. They will likely do nothing, as they do not share with consumers that company's like Whirlpool are paying them membership fees, which is a conflict of interest.

Other than reliability, I would also never purchase a Whirlpool product based on the negative impact the failure of my product had on climate change.

I think it is reasonable to assume, I am not the only once who has faced this issue.

In this case, Whirlpool can sell new washers or make money from selling expensive replacement parts when the appliance fails prematurely.

Finally, based on my experience, their product reliability appears to be at odds with claims on their corporate website that they are actually helping the planet and reducing their carbon footprint. Shame on you, Whirlpool.

I have 40 plus hours of my time that I had to take off work. I had 10 service calls only to have all my food go bad, got a bacterial infection because food got warm. got sick from meds to go buy more meds. then I had no refrigerator for 6 weeks, then you give me this new one that quit working after 3 weeks... all my food was bad again and no refrigerator again for another 3 weeks. I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER REFRIGERATOR! I was without a working refrigerator for 86,600 minutes and had to use the BBB to get a phone from main office! They told me whirlpool will not do anything for you, sorry!

Within a month of receiving refrigerator water was leaking from inside drinking sprout, freezing my food, bottom freezer sometimes difficult to pull out, ice on rails and light button. Serviceman has been to my house three times since August. Bottom answer, I have to live with it. Wont replace or reimburse me. Will never buy another Whirlpool product again or recommend it to anyone.

Let's stick together USA Consumers! I just got a LG washer and dryer and had to file 2 BBB suits.

It is a nightmare. Brand New and already falling apart the first time used.

Don't know how or why but my microwave is falling apart it is 4 years old not used very often. I wont use it anymore scared of some kind of possible chemical release into our food if the paint is peeling like this it could be a possible issue like Teflon had and apparently they still have it on the market for $429.00. It is a range model.

My clothes dryer is not even a year old I've had people out here to service it at least four times and it still has problems there are a couple of things the technician told me they could not correct and I want to see about returning this piece of crap you need to stand behind your products this is nothing but crap even the technicians that have been here and said it's a piece of crap and I want to return it or replace it. I have tried over and over to get a live person on your customer service phone lines, at a couple of different numbers you show to call, and all I get are recordings, recordings!

How can I speak to a live person??
I have a Whirlpool clothes dryer that is not even a year old yet and I have had at least four service calls and there are still problems with the machine. I even took out an extended warranty on it since it seems to be a lemon. They even put a new mother board in it, so they say. The technicians have told me that one of the problems cannot be fixed.

Your company needs to stand behind this and do the right thing. I want to get rid of this piece of crap. Even the technicians that have been out here say, it's a piece of crap!

Every time I go to use it there is always something wrong!
It was bought at home depot and of course they won't take it back now. This is your product and I think you should do the right thing and refund the cost or replace it with another dryer.

I have a complaint against Whirlpool, Mexico. I purchased a brand new washer and dryer from Costco in Cancun in Feb 2023.

Since I live in Canada, I bought the appliances and left for Canada after one month. Upon my return after 8 months, both the washer and dryer were not functioning properly, even when I was present.

The dryer does not dry clothes properly, and the washer leaves a significant amount of water in the clothes.

I submitted a complaint to Whirlpool, and they scheduled a service date. However, nobody showed up on the appointed date, and subsequent requests for service went unanswered.

1. Purchased a Jenaire JJW3430LL on 12/08/2023.

Oven was installed on 12/14/2023; oven started reporting a power failure on 12/17/2023. The oven had never been used.

2. Service technician was called and assess the oven on 12/21/2023. at which time he deemed the control panel on the oven had failed.

After a heated discussion with the executive office, whirlpool agreed to replace the oven. As a customer, I was upset that a brand new oven failed and I had no oven to prepare Christmas dinner.

4. On December 24 my Jenair cooktop failed model number is JIC4430XS00. The service technician on December 28, 2023 deemed my cooktop could not be repaired.

Numerous email exchanges where I was offered different financial compensation, that I never received for the inconvenience at Christmas of having no working appliances to prepare meals has never been received.

6. The offer to send a countertop oven was overlooked until January 16 but is not received.

7. The order for the replacement cooktop was not placed until January 18 and the ETA is 3 to 4 weeks. This ordeal began a month ago and my family has been forced to eat out every meal which means we have limited meals to twice a day but this is getting very expensive and the expectation that we have to go another four weeks or longer without the ability to prepare meals is unacceptable.

I have asked multiple times for my case to be escalated as the expectation that my household go without the ability to prepare meals is unacceptable. Due to current weather conditions across the country, there is no firm timeline on when the appliances will be delivered and installed.

Whirlpool has never delivered on any of the offers in this email string and I feel I should be compensated because it is very expensive to eat out daily twice a day. The response from Whirlpool on compensation for food has been very unprofessional and unethical espeically when I do not have a working oven or cooktop.

I have a concern about the Toploader washing machine that we purchased seven years ago. It is the cobra edition and our door for the top loader has rusted very badly. Is there not supposed to be a coating on these type of appliances to prevent rust? It had gotten so bad that rust particles are now falling into the washing machine.
