Washer - Less than 1 year old and transmission makes loud rattling noise. Now (10/22/18) the machine gets down to 3 mins remaining on any cycle choice, then suddenly switches back to 8 mins and stops the cycle operation.
Red door lock light is flashing on/off. Then in a few seconds it goes into an unceasing water drain cycle which runs with out stop. I manually shut the machine off to avoid overheating the water pump. Lid remains locked even when the machine is unplugged.
After plugging it back in, the red light goes out and the lid will open. Machine is on it's own 20A breaker.
Fridge - First fridge sent back for non cooling, Second fridge: From day 1 it makes a loud noise in the fan area and will not cool below 40 degF. Tested overnight several nights in a row with competent meter. Wp sent out a friendly (contractor) tech but after an hour he couldn't fix either problem.
I'm worried about the health and safety of our foods at 40 deg. He said "Well, it might be a "remanufactured unit" but offered no recourse on the issue.
Really and truly tired of whirlpool "quality". Both items purchased from Lowes of course.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Monetary Loss: $2300.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
