I have had an extremely frustrating experience with Whirlpool refrigerator WRT311. It broke after 6 months.

So far it has been diagnosed twice with a faulty compressor and leaking coolant. Whirlpool will (seemingly) never replace an appliance. Even if it makes no sense--this is a $600 refrigerator. I can't imagine how much they have spent in repair costs.

They simply send a service tech time after time, with no concern for the consumer's time and inconvenience. We have had six tech visits, for a total of 10+ hours, and six weeks with a broken refrigerator. It is loudly throbbing away (the sound fills the whole house) after being refilled with coolant twice, and is still leaking coolant. Two weeks ago, after having the coolant refilled once, the freezer reached 65 degrees.

So I am anticipating another failure. Are they hoping the customer just gives up and buys a new appliance on their own?
