$3300 refrigerator is worthless
We purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator less than 5 years ago. Within the first year, it quit twice because of a faulty board.
In year 2, it quit 2 more times because of a faulty board. Weve had the board replaced 4 times and the last time they replaced the entire wiring harness. Now, the freezer compartment has quit again and everything in the freezer spoiled. I will NEVER own another Whirlpool appliance.
The last time I called customer service, I was informed they stopped making this model due to faulty boards. When I asked about a replacement refrigerator, I was told they still have parts but they no longer warranty the appliance because they dont make it anymore but they wont replace the actual appliance. We have spent almost as much on repairs as we did on the original purchase price. Now we need the freezer
repaired and as of this morning the gasket seal split.
Were done with Whirlpool and we regularly recommend staying away from them to anybody we know appliance shopping. Its truethe way to judge how well something will last is to look at how long a company is willing to stand behind their products.

Whirlpool appliances are worthless!
My house was built in 2017 with whirlpool gold circle appliances. Now in 2023 the refrigerator freezer is the worst appliance Ive ever bought in 60 years.
The freezer drawers break all the time the freezer door does not close sometimes ice buildup underneath the pull out, draws crispers, and does not fully drain ever, now the icemaker doesnt work. As far as my dishwasher is concerned, it doesnt filter correctly black stop comes from with inside the appliance. Whirlpool apparently does not care what Americans think about their products. We need to have products built in America with a minimal of the 10 year soup to nuts warranty.
This is why we have become a throwaway society. Because it companies like this who build crap that should not be allowed to be sold to the American public. Where are consumer affairs division of the United States government. I havent seen them in years.
Do care about anything Americans buy. If you cant be made in America and its made by one of our friendly nations, I have no problem buying from them as long as it is engineered and built correctly to last a minimum of 10 years for an almost $3000 outlay I think the American government when he finally gets back to working for the people Should really look into this. We congressional investigators, not the same old hearings that waste time and money, and have our legislatures screaming at the witnesses. They call, asking them rapidfire questions and giving them no time to answer.
Maybe this time we listen to George, Washington, who in his farewell address, warned us about becoming a nation of parties. We are in this mess, because the government Democrats and Republicans, especially the Republicans. In the last eight years are the ones responsible for the otter in effectiveness of our elected officials. By not doing your job as the House of Representatives, youre letting all the people who elected, you know that you dont care about any of them only about yourself and making millions.
As a Republican, I am embarrassed by every elected Republican official, who is not standing up for America in the constitution, instead lining their own pockets with greed, money, and power. We need a huge change. And if whirlpool has to close this doors because its stealing from the public by making horribly bad goods that do not last that maybe that needs to happen so Im good new American made appliance product can be made and sold in the US and around the world without power-hungry people demanding millions of dollars billions of dollars as CEOs while giving no money to the people who make the product. This of course is just my opinion and only my opinion.
If you owned a GE or whirlpool product that *** out on you I no longer have to say another word you understand what I say.
If you dont understand it, please go out and buy a *** whirlpool or GE doesnt matter. If its bottom or top of the line they will fail on you within seven years guaranteed one way or another.

Whirlpools response to me and the BBB: we have escalated his concerns and will hear from someone within 3 days. It's been about 8 months and still waiting for either call.
ONCE THEY GET YOUR MONEY YOU ARE NOTHING!!
Please if you're considering purchasing, google all the reviews.
I even had my company pull them from the purchase program.

WHIRLPOOL IS A NIGHTMARE, WE NEED A NEW DISHWASHER - WE ARE UNDER WARRANTY, YET THEY CONTINUE TO LIE AND GIVE US THE RUN AROUND.
WE HAVE WARNED ALL AGAINST PURCHASING FROM THIS ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY.
We purchased a brand new dishwasher from whirlpool, thinking it was a safe and reputable brand. After five washes, it broke down, showing two error codes for a leak under the dishwasher.
From there we called Whirlpool customer service, as we had only had it for a month and it was under warranty.
THE WARRANTY IS BS, JUST LIKE THIS COMPANY.
Whirlpool sent out a repairman from a local company, Tri City, and they have now come SEVEN TIMES. Each time, they have searched for a leak, and then replaced a part of the dishwasher (a few times being REQUIRED by whirlpool to replace a part we KNEW wasn't causing a leak!!! Just because Whirlpool said to). The customer service, which shouldnt even be called that because they are useless, knowledgeless, and several of them rude and impatient - not listening to the actual issue and even admitting that the solutions they were offering were inane, but sticking to them anyway).
I have had to take off from work SEVEN DAYS to have the repairman come and replace another part of the dishwasher, to NO.
AVAIL.
Whirlpool PROMISED us that after the third 'functional repair' where they replaced a part, if the same error codes were still happening, then they would replace the product.
WE JUST HAD THE THIRD FUNCTIONAL REPAIR, IT STILL IS NOT WORKING AND NOW THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE!
MIND YOU, NOT ONE WHIRLPOOL REPRESENTATIVE HAS LOOKED AT THE MACHINE- IF THEY DID THEY WOULD SEE IT IS NOT FIXABLE AND HAS A MANUFACTURER ERROR!
However, they said that us, the customers, are the problem. That we...
1) Do not know how to properly load a dishwasher
2) Have put in plates that are not dirty enough or are too dirty
3) Two reps said we should use pods and the other one said we should not use pods.

- Broke after 5 wash cycles

I called customer service for completely broken door shelf on 8 mo. old refrigerator.Was told item was out of stock to call back another time.
I asked if I could back order, was then transferred to parts dept.Was told by parts dept. I would have to pay for shelf replacement (over $50). Refrigerator is 8 months old. Was then transferred to warranty dept.
& put on hold for parts dept. After 1 hour of my time I gave up. Would rather do without than give whirlpool any more money. Terrible service.
Would never recommend. Pool quality should be covered by warranty. Nowhere does it state shelf not covered.
So much for your commitment to being the best global kitchen & laundry company , in constant pursuit of improving life at home as stated on Corp. website!!!

Worst customer service ever.
Whirlpool customer service is the worst. When buying a product, you should also take into account the quality of the manufacturer's customer service.
I just wanted to return a water filter for the Whirlpool refrigerator (ordered the wrong type) and I have been on the phone for more than three hours now. Very difficult getting through to an actual person on the line, and if you do get to one, they will pass you to another department or to the phone menu. Nobody cares, nobody takes accountability.
This is just a water filter we're talking about here --- what more if you order a very vital part for your appliance? I suggest consider another manufacturer.

Scam company uses scam service repair vendor: Diamond Factory Service
Submitted a request to whirlpool for an ice maker repair issue they sent their only service vendor in my area: Diamond Factory Services. Diamond Factory came out and replaced my ice maker and charged me for service and parts.
Shortly after the ice maker stopped working again. I called whirlpool they sent Diamond Factory again and the technician was acting very nervous at the appointment I asked him what was wrong he told me he couldnt tell me anything he had to call his boss. I overheard him saying something about the wires of the door. He left abruptly and didnt fix anything.
I followed up with whirlpool and they said the technician wrote in notes that customer declined service. Whirlpool sent another technician and told me they would request a different technician but the same guy showed up and told me I now had a $1k issue because of the wires in the door were severed. I believe the technician severed the wires so they can increase their service repair fees. Whirlpool is not taking any accountability with getting a refund for the first service and parts nor are they providing a resolution to the broken door their vendor broke.
And told me all they can do is give me a 20% coupon.
Their vendor turned my ice maker issue into a replacement of an entire door issue. Whirlpool and Diamond Factory are both a scam company that provide 0 customer support.
