We bought a Whirlpool refrigerator at h.h.gregg & after 54 days the compressor went out. The compressor is back ordered for 30 days.

h.h.gregg will not do any thing since it has been over 30 days and we did not buy the premium policy. Today Whirlpool put us on an exchange review which takes 24-72 hours. If approved they will start working with us for an exchange. If not approved we have to wait 30 days or more for the compressor to come in.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Any suggestions? We have contacted both h.h.gregg & Whirlpool & they are very adamant; h.h.gregg because over 30 days & we did not buy the premium policy to cover crappy merchandise, Whirlpool because it takes time to review the fact the fridge is only 54 days old and does not work and the part is back ordered for 30 days (or more, who knows).

So very frustrated...the fridge has not worked for over a week now.
