The Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washing Machine is by far the WORST machine ever! Do not buy!

We have a relatively new machine (22 months old), and the service guy has been here six times in the past 3 weeks and it still isn't fixed. The error code (FH) is so general they can not diagnose the problem?. We have paid hundreds of dollars in repair bills for absolutely nothing:.

I am now trying to save others the aggravation of this machine/. Do yourselves a favor; do not buy this machine/. Unless of course you have no life and have the time to wait around day after day, week after week for the repair man to come,. This is the most frustrating piece of garbage we have ever owned/.

Please save yourselves the aggravation and accompanying high blood pressure and stay away from the Whirlpool Duet'. You will certainly live a happier life if you do/.

I, too, purchased the Whirlpool Duet. After one year of use, all I get is the SUDS/F35 flashing. The repairman cannot get a part for a month; it's one backorder due to all the need for this part.I tried to discuss the problem with the company; they basically said "too bad". Don't buy Whirlpool; the company doesn't care about their customers.

My Maytag 4000 series (same as the Whirlpool Duet) lost the drum bearings and ruined a load of whites with rust stains when it was only 11 months old. After replacing the inner and outer drums ther machine was fine for about 10 more months and now the bearings are shot again. this problem is due to a poor seal design on the part of Whirlpool. Whirlpool told me that they would not replace the machine. I told Whirlpool that I would never buy another appliance from them and they did not seem to care.

by far the very worst washing machine I have ever owned. Does not do a good job getting clothes clean. Machine constantly smells, despite wiping it out after each use, AND using those expensive and useless Afresh tablets. Machine is also loud. I hope it dies soon so I can justify buying a new machine....I have only had it for a couple of years but don't know if I can wait that long

I have a Whirlpool Duet. I purchased it 8-5-10. On 1-2-11 it began flashing F20 error. In the past 5 weeks the repair man has been here 3 times. He reset the computer, replaced the computer, and came this am to replace a "switch" of some sort. When he left, guess what?? Right!! F20 again. I have contacted Whirlpool and have demanded a replacement. I have to call in the am and check status on my claim. Do yourself a favor and don't buy.

I also made a serious, expensive mistake of purchasing a Whirlpool Duet Washer. And this was after replacing a Whirlpool refrigerator that was only 4 years old! I see the name "Whirlpool" and run away screaming. :sigh What was I thinking--I wasn't. My washer's been repaired about 3 times-its usually the door lock, I shut that door so gently each time, but it still fails me. Yes, the water keeps coming in after the machine has shut off. I'm about ready to pay someone to take this nightmare away from me.

:sigh The repairman is on the way for the 3rd time to fix this F H problem. He doesn't know what's wrong & replaced the main panel and another part -- WHirlpool claims no knowledge of this problem... OMG - wait until I show him this! This sucks - my machine is only 3 yrs old - do i throw it out?? Grrrrrrrrrrr...

Whirlpool duet frontloader is poor quality. The control panel went out after 2 years, Right now there has been a 5 week back order to get parts. Thats from when I first tried to get it. Customer service from Lowes told me to try E bay for parts
