9 month old Whirlpool fridge thawed everything, including a LOT of meat in the freezer, the week before Thanksgiving 2014. Whirlpool Cust Service was not helpful but did finally tell us that since they didn't have a certified technician in our area (really???? We are in the Texas Capital folks!!!!) we could call someone to fix it and then submit the bill for payment by Whirlpool. They gave us an... Read more

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator at Lowes for $849 in Southern Maryland.Three years later the compressor is dead. Sears repairman came out and said it would be $900.00 to repair. Cost $76 to have him come out. Called Whirlpool and Lowes and both said 'oh well sorry'. No help whatsoever. I am not buying another Whirlpool ever and will not be going to Lowes either. My old refrigerator (can't... Read more

Bought side by side refrigerator, Whirlpool model WRS322FDAM 01 in late Feb. 2014. Within 6 months, a shelf cracked. By 8 months I found cracks in the rear liner, just under the LED light. They extended to the right and left sides for about 3 inches. I had glued the shelf together and when it broke again in Jan. 2015, I again removed it and found that the liner cracks had moved and one had... Read more

My 2 year old Whirlpool refrigerator condenser went, over $600 to repair. I didn't buy the extended warranty because 3 months after I bought the frig it developed rust spots and they said it was "cosmetic" (I call it defective) so I figured I wasn't giving them more money for a warranty if they couldn't even uphold the original warranty . big mistake. If you made the mistake of buying... Read more

My whirlpool stackable washer and dryer tore my clothes. I looked on the internet to see if I was the only lucky customer with a distressed clothes cycle. There were many unhappy whirlpool customers who had the same unpleasant experience with whirlpool customer disservice. Whirlpool is very attentive when you want to give them money, but when they've screwed up by selling you inferior... Read more

we bought a new home and had appliances pre-installed. The fridge stopped working around the 1 year mark. model # GSF26C4EXY03 , repair guy said it was the circuit board. Easy fix for him and he said it was very rare. he works for all appliance co's . Cost to us, $350 and a warranty for a year. They did not give us the warranty coverage because it was a cpl weeks over. Buy extended service plans... Read more

My beautiful, French door, bottom freezer refrigerator was delivered on 12/22/13. In January of 2015 I noticed the items in the freezer beginning to thaw. Also, the upper, refrigerator, section was warm. When I called Whirlpool service they asked if I had purchased an extended warranty. Because I had not, they said I would need to pay for repairs. It seems that Whirlpool manufactures their... Read more

We bought a new washer this January. It broke within a week, shutting down and locking in our clothes. Had it repaired (it took 2 weeks for Sears to fix a washer we had for less than a week) and the next day they exact same problem. Sears finally gave in and sent a new Duet washer and it too was defective with the exact same failure (codes F08, E01 before it goes DEAD). This product has a... Read more

Whirlpool provided a recalibration of my new dishwasher but some small food particles still remain on the upper rack dishes after 2 hour and 36 minute "hi temp" wash cycle. I don't know if this is a design problem? One recourse would be to return the washer to Home Depot; and suffer a 10% restocking fee. It is a solid, nice looking machine but I need my dishes to come out clean AND free of food... Read more

Purchased new stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher) from Lowe's in November 2013. We also purchased extended warranty from Lowe's (save your money, it's not worth it!). Discoloration and rust spots first appeared on upper right door of Whirlpool refrigerator 1 month after delivery in December 2013. Whirlpool said they would not cover "cosmetic" problems after 30 days of PURCHASE.... Read more
